DRAMA
In the Spotlight!

The AMHS Drama program offers various opportunities to students interested in acting, directing, stage managing, technical work, etc. Annually, the drama program produces a minimum of five shows on our school's campus and provides monthly workshops. Rehearsals generally run five days a week from 3-6p.m. Examples of previous productions include Grease, West Side Story, FAME, Little Shop of Horrors, Calamityville Horror, Play On, The Wizard of Oz, and many more.
The drama program also maintains a community service project that entails the production of shows related to current topics that affect the youth; past topics include drugs and alcohol abuse, HIV awareness, bullying, and internet safety. These shows are offered annually to our local parish school students as a field trip opportunity.
Drama students also compete annually through the International Thespian Society. Our program is also involved with the Internation Thespian Society and Broward County CAPPIES.
