The policy of the Archdiocese of Miami concerning weather closings is that our Catholic schools will close when the public school system of Broward County closes. Since, the effects of storms are different for each school our Catholic schools do not need to remain closed for the same amount of time as local public schools. If our school has electricity, water, clear access, and is considered safe, Archbishop McCarthy will reopen. If possible Archbishop McCarthy families will be notified via (BEN) the automated response system. Families should first call the school for information. If the BEN system is not working, please consult Edline and the school website. Announcements concerning our individual situation will also be provided to the local media (radio, television, newspapers).
