The  Archbishop Edward A. McCarthy High School, 5451 South Flamingo Road, Varsity Lady Mavericks won their second consecutive District Championship against Cardinal Gibbons Saturday February 6th.

Winning by almost 30 points on their home court the Lady Mavericks ruled the game from the onset.    The Lady Mavericks came to the District Championship game psyched up after a significant win the night before during the semi finals when they beat Pines Charter with a 62-35 win.   Playing against Cardinal Gibbons the Lady Mavericks reached their team high in the District Championship Game, 82-55.     An ecstatic AMHS Coach Wally Haywood stated… “The girls have worked hard all year for this title.”
