REVEREND BRENDAN DALTON, PRESIDENT/SUPERVISING PRINCIPAL
Fr. Dalton is the new Supervising Principal. Fr. Dalton is currently the pastor at St. Bernadette Parish. He was one of the original and most ardent supporters from the inception of the dream to build a Catholic High School in South Broward. Fr. Dalton celebrates over 35 years of ordination to the priesthood. Father has served in many other parishes including Visitation, Epiphany, St. Matthews, St. Bartholomew, Sacred Heart and St. Gregory. Fr. Dalton was born in County Kerry, Ireland. He studied at St. John’s Seminary in Waterford and was ordained in 1969. We thank Fr. Dalton for sharing his ministry and talents with us. .

Reverend Kris Bartos, AP for Christian Formation- ext. 229
After his years of service at St. Brendan High School, Fr. Bartos serves as Assistant Principal for Christian Formation at Archbishop McCarthy High School. As well as his administration duties and teaching Theology, he is a member of the Campus Ministry team and plans to say daily Mass for our students. He received his B.A. from Sacred Heart Seminary in Detroit, a Masters in Divinity from St. John Provincial Seminary and earned his Masters degree in Education from Boston College. Fr. Bartos is in residence at St. Boniface parish.
Mr. Thomas Greene, AP for Student Personnel & Administration- ext. 221
Mr. Greene has been involved in teaching and administration for the Archdiocese of Miami schools for over 20 years. He is the Assistant Principal for Student Personnel & Administration, and Plant Manager. Mr. Greene earned his B.A. degree in Fine Arts from Florida Atlantic University and his M.S. degree in Educational Leadership from Barry University. He is a member of St. Mark parish.

Dr. Valdes has been involved in teaching and administration for the Archdiocese of Miami for over 20 years. She is the Assistant Principal for Academics and Technologies Department. She earned her B.A. and M.A. degrees from F.I.U. in Business Administration and her Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership at Nova-Southeastern University. She is a member of St. Mark parish.

Mrs. Pilar Blanco, Guidance Director - ext. 222
Mrs. Blanco is the Director of the Guidance Dept. and serves the 11th & 12th graders (M-Z) for college planning and guidance. She earned her B.A. degree in Psychology from City College and her M.A. degree in Guidance from St. Thomas University. She has over 20 years of experience in Catholic education, from Our Lady of Lakes, St. Thomas Aquinas & AMHS. She is a member of Mother of Our Redeemer.
Mr. Lawrence Boes, Student Activities Director - ext. 236
Mr. Boes is the Director of Student Activities, teaches in the Social Studies department, and the moderator of I.C.C. Club & SGA. He received his B.S. and M.Ed. degrees in Education from the University of Pittsburgh. He has been teaching for over 30 years, more than 10 years in Catholic schools. He is a member of Blessed Sacrament parish.
Mr. Frank Castillo, Campus Ministers - ext. 354
Mr. Castillo is the Director of Campus Ministry after serving as the department chairperson of the Theology Department. He teaches Philosophy Honors, American Mosaic, and World Religions. He earned his B.A. degree in International Relations from Florida International University, his M.A. degree is in Theology from St. Vincent de Paul, and is currently working on a Doctoral degree from Barry University. He is a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe parish.

After working for more than 25 years in the Catholic education, Mr. Massaro as served as our Athletic Director from the beginning and oversees the Booster Club. He earned his M.A. degree in Physical Education from Nova-Southeastern University. He is a member of St. David parish.

Ms. Henderson is the Director of Media and Library Services and teaches French in the Foreign Language department. She is also the moderator of the French Honor Society and of the Tech/Media Club. Ms. Henderson earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and her masters in French from Florida Atlantic University, and her masters in Library & Information Science from the University of South Florida. She has fifteen years of experience at both the high school and college level. Her parish is Our Lady Queen of Martyrs.

Ms. Frank is the Department chair for the Physical Education dept. She also teaches Health Management and Fitness Lifestyle and is head coach to the Volleyball Program and assistant to the Athletic Director. She earned her bachelors degree in Physical Education from the University of Central Florida. She is a member of St. Bernard parish.

Mr. DiNicola teaches Physical Fitness, Fitness Life & Beginning Weight Training in the Physical Education department and will be assisting with the Head Track and Cross Country programs. He earned his B.S. degree in Health & Physical Education from Trenton State University and his M.S. in Physical Education from Nova-Southeastern University. He was a teacher and coach at the University School for over 20 years. He is a member of St. David parish.

Mr. Rolland is the chairperson and teaches Computer Science, Keyboard, Visual Basic and Webmaster. He is the moderator for the Technology Club. He earned his B.A. degree in Computer Science at LaSalle University and M.S. degree from Nova Southeastern University. He has over 15 years of teaching experience, some at LaSalle High School. Mrs. Zocco joins our Business Education and Technologies department. She has been teaching in the Catholic Schools for over 13 years. Mrs. Zocco earned her Bachelor's Degree in Information and Technology & Sciences from Florida Atlantic University, her Master's in Arts in Education & Technology at Nova Southeastern University and is currently pursuing her PhD at Florida Atlantic University in Education & Technology. Mrs. Zocco is also a Major in the Civil Air Patrol and the assistant club moderator of the Support Our Troops Club. She is a parish member of Saint Mark Catholic Church.

Mrs. Cindy Keegan - -ext. 387
Mrs Keegan is the artistic director at AMHS. She has been involved in the theatre for over 30 years and has acted in and directed school, community and professional shows. She is the writer and director of the production “CyberMare” which explores internet bullying and it consequences. “Cyber Mare” can be seen at AMHS. One of Mrs. Keegan’s goal is to work with students of any age and instill in them the same love and passion she has for the theater, and teach them the discipline and dedication it takes to put on a quality show.

Ms. Gleason teaches dance, drama and speech in the Fine Artas Department and continues her work with the Theatre program. She has worked in the Archdiocese of Miami school system for over 10years. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Florida Atlantic University and her parish is St. Andrew..

Mr. Bertolone is our 9th-10th Grader (A-L) Guidance Counselor with over 10 years at AMHS. He earned his B.A. degree in Communications & his M.A. degree in Guidance & Counseling from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio. He began working in Catholic education in 1977 at Chaminade. Coach Bert is the Head Wrestling and, Freshman Football Coach in addition to the assistant Girl’s Flag Football Coach. He also serves as the Faculty Liaison for the school student fundraising drive. His parish is St. David.

Mrs. Brancheau has taught in the Archdiocese of Miami for over 20 years. At AMHS, she serves as Guidance Counselor to the 11th & 12th grader (A-L) with college planning. She is also the moderator of Miami Herald Silver Knights program, Close Up Foundation and the Parent-to-Parent program. She earned her B.A. degree in Business Education from Eastern Michigan University and M.A. degree in Guidance at St. Thomas University. Her parish is St. Katherine Drexel.

Mrs. Gandarillas will be a member of the English department and the Theology dept. She has been teaching for 19 years. Thirteen in the Archdiocese of Miami and five at Dade County Public School. Mrs. Gandarillas will also be a member of the Campus Ministry Team and will be working with the Liturgical Music Committees. Her parish is Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church.

Ms. Gemma is the second Archbishop McCarthy graduate to join our faculty community. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in English Education from Stetson University and will be teaching both English and Latin. She and her family are members of St. David parish.

Dr. McDermott will be teaching English I, English I Honors and Creative Writing in the English department. She has taught for seventeen years and received her B.S. Mrs. Catherine Kohrt - ext. 334
Mrs. Kohrt is a member of Theology dept, teaching Western Civilization, Issues in Humanities, Social Justice and Peer Counseling. She has been working in the schools of the Archdiocese of Miami as a teacher and principal for fifteen years. Mrs. Kohrt earned her B.A. degree in Education from Carroll College and her M.A. in Educational Leadership from Nova University. She has also completed the Archdiocese of Miami Catechist Certification Program. She is also a member of the Campus Ministry program as a moderator of the Peace/Justice Club, as well as Amor en Accion. She assists in the ministers of Liturgy and Retreats as well as the Community Service hour program, not to mention she is the Junior Class Moderator. Her parish is St. Mark.

Mr. Luongo joins our Theology department and will be organizing the freshmen Pieta retreats. He has twenty four years of teaching experience in Catholic High Schools. Mr. Luongo received his Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Don Bosco College in New Jersey and his Master’s of Divinity degree in Theology from Washington Theological Union. He is a member of Resurrection parish.

Ms. Martinez will be a member of the Theology deparment and is the first Archbishop McCarthy graduate to join our faculty. She received her Bachelor degree in Theology from Barry University. Ms. Martinez will also be a member of the Campus Ministry Team and will be working with the Liturgy and Liturgical Music committees. Her parish is St. Katherine Drexel.

Mr. Spencer joins our Theology department and will serve as our head varsity football coach. He has been teaching for sixteen years, within the Archdiocese of Miami. Mr. Spencer previously served as the head football coach at Mariner High School in Cape Coral and St. Thomas Aquinas High School. He received his Bachlor degree in Arts and Science from Temple University. Mr.Spencer is a member of St. John the Baptist Parish.

She received her B.A. in History from St. Catherine College and her M.S.I.T. degree in Instructional Technology from New York Institute & Technology. She has twenty-one years of experience in Catholic schools and is a member of St. David parish.

Mr. Cosgrove is a member of the Social Studies department and Business/Technology department and will be teaching Government, Government Honors, Economics, Business Management Honors and Personal Finance Honors. Along with teaching, he will be the moderator of the Model U.N. program. He has taught twenty-six years in the U.S. Army of which he earned the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He received his B.S. degree in Education from West Virginia University and his M.A. from Webster University.

Mr. Grossi will be teaching in the Social Studies department and coaching varsity wrestling as an assistant. He has taught for seven years at Chaminade-Madonna High School and earned his Bachelor’s degree from Florida Atlantic University. Mr. Grossi is a member of St. Maurice Parish.

Mr. Lobermann has joined the Social Studies department, teaching AP World, American History. He earned both a B.S. and B.A. degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Northeastern University and his M.A degree from the Citadel and University of Charleston. He has been teaching in the Archdiocese for six years.

Mrs. Ziebarth has been teaching in Catholic schools for twenty-five year and is the original members of the AMHS faculty. She is the Foreign Language Dept. Chairperson and a teaches Spanish ! Mrs. Ziebarth earned her B.A. degree in Spanish and French from Barry University and is a member of Nativity parish.

Ms. Gonzalez, as a member of the Foreign Language department, teaching Spanish III, Spanish Speaker IIIHonors, AP Spanish Literature as well as AP Spanish Language, along with being the Moderator of the International Club. She earned her B.A. degree in Spanish studies & her M.S. degree in Spanish education from the University of Puerto Rico. She has twenty-three years of teaching experience and her parish is St. Gregory the Great.

She has ten years of teaching experience in the public school system and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Spanish Education from the University of Massachusetts then her Master’s degree in Modern Languages Education from Florida International University. Mrs. Meyers has taught in Catholic schools for fifteen years, seven years teaching Spanish II at AMHS. She is the moderator of H.E.L.P. (Helping the Elderly Live Purposefully). She earned her bachelors degree in Spanish Education from the University of Illinois. Mrs. Meyers is a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe parish.

Mr. Perez will be teaching French in our Foreign Language Department and has been teaching for four years. He received his Certification in Foreign Language from the University of Dijon France and his BA degree in French from Georgia State University. His parish is St. Katherine Drexel where he is very active in the Ministries.

Ms. Chriswisser is a member of the Math department and is currently teaching Advanced Topics & Geometry. She earned her M.A. from the University of Florida and has been teaching for six years. She is also the Head Cheerleading Coach, Maverick Maniacs Moderator, Freshmen Class Moderator and a member of St. Mark Parish.

Mrs. Cobourne joins our Mathematics department and will be teaching Algebra I and II. She has thirteen years of teaching experience in Jamaica and Nassau. Mrs. Cobourne received both her Bachelors and Master’s degree in Mathematics Education from Central Connecticut State University.

He has been teaching for sixteen years at both Palm Beach Central High School & St. Thomas Aquinas High School. Mr. Timmins earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Mathematics from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York. He and his family are members of Holy Name of Jesus parish.

Dr. Torres has taught in Catholic education for thirty-seven years. At AMHS, she is the Science dept. Chairperson, teaches Biology & Biology Honors and moderator of the Brain Bee/Science Club. Dr. Torres earned her B.S. degree in Biology from the University of Puerto Rico and her masters degree in Curriculum & Instruction from The City University of Seattle Washington. Mrs. Arango teaches Biology I and Environment Science. She earned her B.S. in Biology from Union Institute and Florida International University. Mrs. Arango has taught in Dade County for nine years. She is also the moderator of the Environmental Club. Her parish is St. Bernadette Parish.
Mrs. Cristin Calder - ext. 352
Mrs. Calder is a member of the Science dept. and teaches Chemistry Honors and AP Biology. She is also the moderator for the Pre-Med Club & Friends of the Animals. She earned her bachelors degree in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Miami. Mrs. Calder taught in Dade County for eleven years and was named “Teacher of the Year” for our school, then in 2000 was named “Science Teacher of the Year” for Dade County. While teaching at AMHS she was presented with the Deaver Award for outstanding teaching in 2005.
Mrs. Stacey Diaz - ext. 341
Mrs. Diaz is a member of the Science department and teaches Biology and Anatomy & Physiology. She is also the head coach for the women’s softball team and the assistant coach for volleyball. She received her BS degree from Barry University and completed graduate studies at Florida Memorial University in Education. Her parish is Our Lady of the Lakes.

Mr. Giacobbe teaches Anatomy and Anatomy Honors in the Science Department. He is also the strength coach. He earned his bachelors degree in Physiology from the University of Miami and M. Ed from Auburn University. Mr. Giacobbe received the prestigious “Deaver Award” in 2003 and “Teacher of the Year” in 1999. He is a member of St. Bernadette parish.
Mr. Marshall Ho - ext. 361
Mr. Ho is a member of the Science department and Physical Education department. He is also the Athletic Trainer for all sports. He will be teaching Anatomy, Biology II and a course related to Athletic Trainers. He earned his bachelors degree in Sports Medicine and his masters degree in Science Education from the University of Miami.
Mrs. Magaly Perez - ext. 392
Mrs. Perez is a member of the Math and Science departments, teaching Algebra I, Algebra II, Physics, Physics Honors. She is the Sophomore Class moderator the H.E.L.P. club co-moderator. Mrs. Perez teaching experience includes twenty years with nine in the Catholic schools. She earned her B. S. degree in civil engineering at the University of Florida and her M.Ed. Degree in Education from the University of Alabama. She is a PhD candidate in the Educational Technology field.
Mr. Angelo Rossi - ext. 337
Mr. Rossi joins the Science dept. teaching Biology I. He earned his B.S. degree in Marine Science and Biology from University of Miami. He will also be coaching Wrestling. His parish is The Church of Little Flower.
