Gently Used School Uniform Sale  (Parent Volunteer Hours)

We are continuing our “Gently Used” uniform sale for the second year to benefit the SGA.  All students who have outgrown their present uniforms may donate clean, gently used uniform shirts, pants, jackets and sweatshirts to the SGA by bringing the items to Mr. Boes’s office during the weeks of May 19 through June 6.  All donated articles will be inspected, sorted and will go on sale the week of July 14 - 18 from 8:00 am to noon in the media center. This will afford parents an opportunity to make significant savings on the purchase of uniforms for the 2008-2009 academic year.  Please note that we can no longer accept the old guayabera shirts. 

Parents Volunteer Hours:

Only clothing that has been inspected and cleared by Student Activities and Development Office personnel will qualify parents to receive service hours. 

Items can not be accepted if they have heavy perspiration stains, discoloration due to laundering or bleaching, ink or any other kind of stain, tears, frays, missing buttons or zippers that do not function.

NOTE:  All donated clothing must be “gently used”, clean and folded.  Ask yourself, “Would I purchase the clothes I am donating?”

Donation Credit Schedule:

Regulation pants: No frayed pant legs.                                   1 Parent Volunteer Hour

Regulation shirts: Clean, non-stained, and unfrayed.               ½ Parent Volunteer Hour each

McCarthy Black Satin jackets: Good condition                       2 Parent Volunteer Hours

McCarthy Sweat Shirt: Good condition                                   1 Parent Volunteer Hour

P.E. shorts: (No shirts) Good condition                                  ½ Parent Volunteer Hour

NOTE: Items that do not meet our criteria will be donated to Good Will or The Salvation Army and service hours will not be earned.
